This extension is only extra time to file your taxes..October 15 to be exact. It does not give you extra time to pay ! If you owe money , expect to get a few penalties and interest added to your balance due. You will need to file a separate extension for your state as well. April 18th is the deadline to file your 2022 income taxes.
